Ladli

Ladli is a vocational training program in Rajasthan, India, sponsored by I-India, a non profit NGO. For most street children the alternative to Ladli is begging, child labour and prostitution. At Ladli they study English, Drawing & Dance. They learn jewellery making and skills such as tailoring and stitch work. But the benefits to the children are far greater than education and employability. They also gain confidence and self-esteem.

I-India was established in 1993 and helps 3000 street children everyday. Their programs provide residential homes, education, vocational training, medical care, nutrition, emotional support, a crisis helpline, repatriation of children to their families and promotion of child rights.

By purchasing one of our hand crafted pieces of jewellery, unique to Patchouli Fair, you are helping to transform the lives of children in desperate need. We greatly welcome your support!!
